What are Pins and Wicks candles made out of?
We use 100% soy wax and cotton blended wicks for the cleanest burn possible. We pride ourselves on making the cleanest burning, ethical candles out there. Caring is cool.
Can I choose which pin I get?
Life is like a box of chocolates...or Pins and Wicks candles in this case! Mystery is what it's all about!
Each of our pins are hand-picked by us based on what we would wear ourselves. If you have something special in mind, we'd love to hear about it. Email us at support@pinsandwicks.com.
Do you do custom orders?
We believe anything is possible! We offer personalized options in our online shop, but if you have something else in mind, feel free to hit us up at support@pinsandwicks.com. We'd be happy to discuss the deets.
Can I really reuse the whiskey glass?
Yeah! Once your candle has burned completely, simply soak your glass in warm soapy water over night, clean with a sponge and you are ready for a pour. Our heavy base whiskey glasses are restaurant-grade and made by Libbey, so you know they are meant to last!
Do you offer returns/exchanges/refunds?
We do not offer exchanges or returns BUT you are our friend and friends look out for one another, so if our product wasn't delivered to you in pristine shape, please send us a detailed description including pics of what went wrong to support@pinsandwicks.com and we promise to make it right.
What kind of pins are inside the candle?
We hand select each of our pins based on style, quality, and cool factor. Our pins are valued up to $14 and purchased individually (not in bulk) from some of our fave pin shops! In other words, we wouldn't give you what we wouldn't wear ourselves :)
How do I care for my cool candle?
We recommend always trimming your wick to 1/4" before lighting to enjoy a clean burn. Light for 1-2 hours for your first burn, until the melted wax reaches the edges of the glass, before extinguishing. This will allow for a smooth and even burn. Never leave a candle unattended after lighting and always remember to light your candle on a heat resistant surface for no more than 4 hours at a time.
How do I remove my pin?
This is the fun part! Once you're able to see enough of the wrapped pin in the melted wax, use a spoon or pair of tweezers to carefully retrieve your new pin! Once you have removed the wrapped pin from the whiskey glass, let it cool for a few, unwrap, pin it to your fave faux-leather jacket and rock out.
